Sequels, Prequels, and Remakes

I am a big movie fan. And it's not that i dislike sequels, but is it just me or are hollywood making sequels to EVERYTHING these days or what? I loved movie series such as Rambo, Rocky & the Indiana Jones movies but come on, both Harrison ford & sylvester stalone are like 60 now. Why ruin something really great by making stupid sequels just to make money.

Here is a list of just some of the upcomming hollywood sequels;
Alien vs predator 2, Bean 2, Big Mommas house 2, Doctor dolittle 3, Evan Almighty (Bruce Almighty 2), Evil Dead 4, Fantastic Four 2, Freddy vs. Jason 2, The Grudge 2, Jurassic Park IV: The Extinction, Die hard 4, Mad Max 4, Madagascar 2, Old School 2, Police Academy 8, Saw III, Scary Movie 4, Scary Movie 5, Shrek 3, Sin City 2, Sin City 3, Spider-Man 3, Toy Story 3, The X-Files 2 and...X-Men 3. And as i said this is just SOME of the planned new sequels.

And now a list of rumored hollywood sequels;
Ace Ventura 3, Alien 5, Austin Powers 4, Beverly Hills Cop 4, The Bodyguard 2, The Fast and the Furious 3+4, Finding Nemo 2 (what is he gone again?), How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days 2, I, Robot 2, Mrs. Doubtfire 2, Pink Panther 2, Pulp Fiction 2, Sahara 2 and Speed 3. And This list also goes on an on!

Ok, i'll admit it. I'm propably gonna watch allot of these films myself, but one thing's for sure i'm not gonna waste my money on a theater ticket or even renting them in my local blockbuster.

How about some new, original & interesting ideas! Just for a change...
